Opera Warhorses respects copyright and provides this process for reporting material on the site that you believe infringes your copyright. This page addresses copyright claims only. For privacy, trademark or other matters, use the Contact page.
Copyright infringement notice
To submit a copyright infringement notice under 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3), provide a written communication containing substantially all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if one notice covers multiple works on the site.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, together with information reasonably sufficient to locate it, preferably the exact Opera Warhorses URL.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

What happens after a notice
Opera Warhorses will review substantially complete notices and may remove or disable access to material when appropriate. When material supplied by another user or contributor is removed in response to a notice, reasonable steps may be taken to notify that person and provide a copy of the notice, including the claimant’s contact information.
Opera Warhorses may terminate accounts or posting privileges of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
Counter-notification
If your material was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe that resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification containing substantially all of the following under 17 U.S.C. 512(g)(3):
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district where the service provider may be found.
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s agent.
Send counter-notifications to the Copyright Contact using the same contact methods above and begin the message with Copyright Counter-Notice.
When the statutory counter-notice process applies, Opera Warhorses may restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after forwarding a valid counter-notification to the original claimant, unless the claimant reports that a court action has been filed seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), a person who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notification may be liable for resulting damages, costs and attorneys’ fees. Consider fair use and other lawful uses before submitting a notice.
